Saying YES to Tantra means we're also saying YES to living fully and immersing ourselves deeply in life.
Being fully present, vibrant, alive and focused through our mind, body and senses, brings us more harmony with our natural energy.
Tantra is about expanding and weaving, and embracing all that life has to offer.
We learn to expand consciousness and become more aware of our spiritual and mystical nature, while remaining firmly grounded in the physical world.
You only need yourself to experience Tantra. It's an inner journey, and sometimes, to begin with, it can be easier to be in your own energy.
Tantra invites you to explore and trust yourself.
Nurturing our inner lover...
Before we can wholeheartedly welcome a loved one, we must first welcome ourselves.
Sometimes, though, we're too critical of ourselves, of what we say, do or think.
What if we welcomed ourselves as we are, with love, compassion and acceptance in all our integrity.
We can begin to do this by embarking on a love affair with ourselves.
How might it feel to connect in this way?
Perhaps you've glimpsed it in moments of peace, joy or laughter.
Moments when we are in total acceptance of ourselves rather than in conflict.
Yet it's by being at peace with ourselves, and loving ourselves, that we begin to experience our ecstatic nature.
We become, at once, the lover, the beloved, enabling us to give and receive love.
Shiva and Shakti ...Non-duality
Another aspect of Tantra is the union of opposite or apparent polarities : yin and yang, masculine and feminine, Shiva and Shakti, pleasure and pain, joy and sadness, light and shadow etc....
One cannot exist without the other...
But we tend to deny it or fight against things or situations that we perceive as bad or that make us feel uncomfortable.
Tantra teaches us to see the sublime not only in the things we do and think, but also in each other.
You may have seen images or statues of Shiva and Shaktiin close embrace...
They represent the union of the Divine Masculine (consciousness) merging with the Divine Feminine (energy).
Shiva is pure consciousness, carrying awareness, stillness, emptiness, space and peace.
Shakti is pure energy, carrying theenergy of love and creativity.
The union of Shiva and Shakti symbolizes the unification of body, mind and soul...
The union of consciousness and energy.
